Had the Shark alarm today at Cronulla, I didn't see a Shark but I think I saw a seal in the waves. But perhaps it was the shark.... Who knows. Glad I didn't get bitten!
Although the edge of the tail pad was wider than the board end on one side (manufacturing fault) it caused no issues with the board other than it can be easily bumped. I'd say that is why it came unglued and ripped off a bit in the surf. However I'm using the glue recommended by … Continue reading Tail pad repairs
Yesterday, Maroubra Beach, NSW. Started out looking like 2 foot at the south end, ended up easily 4 foot+ but with intensity and strong push. north end was a couple of foot bigger. The amount of people out there was insane. https://www.facebook.com/rbattam/videos/10216272240673030/
https://youtu.be/6pJrBn2DIPA I took my Harley XL883N Iron Sportster down to Phillip Island and rode it into a ditch off the road before we even went to the track, so I ended up having to ride my brothers Honda CBR 1000, which is a fast sports bike, I've never been on a sports bike so it … Continue reading Phillip Island, Victoria – Surfing, and Grand Prix Circuit.

2 foot and occasional 3 foot down the South end of Maroubra today, but I was only surfing there due to the human infested waters up the North-end, you couldn't drop in any direction without having to dodge 100 people. I just settled for rubbish close-outs down the South and Middle for 2 hours, hoping … Continue reading Over-Crowded.
Today was mostly 3, 4, and 5 foot Close-Outs. couple of short rides, but the rest was wipe-outs and paddling and just survival for me lol. Better than doing nothing, but I do miss some nicely sloped waves.
2's 3's and 4's at Maroubra south end but many were on a nice slope, i got 2 rides in 2 hours, and like 5 wipeouts trying to drop in on waves that were way too steep and flipped me over lol, and the rest i was paddling back south to compensate for the southerly … Continue reading
This morning 3 foot and occasional 4 foot, all close-outs. Board snapping surf, I gave up on them, spent about 3hours just getting wiped out and battling seaweed on the way back out, like the most sea-weed I've ever seen, blankets from north to south, not at one end like usual. There were some advanced … Continue reading Bad Surf
2-3 foot close outs, rubbish, board snapping waves. Paddled out a few times then after a couple of hours of shit waves, and some crappy rides and wipeouts, I went home. This is not good recently. On a good note, here is my new board, luckily I have not broken it yet.
